We’ve worked with a wide range of partners on large-scale engagement projects that deliver a combination of community, heritage and academic benefits.
We work with community groups and civic organisations, schools and universities, and cultural heritage organisations like libraries and museums. We also work with TV and media companies like the BBC and PBS, as well as big brands like Chevrolet.
The activities involved in a partner project are many and varied. From storytelling, mystery solving and online crowdsourcing to creating new things like exhibitions, books, murals and films. What they have in common is a desire to use culture to bring communities together, and to share their results online for an even bigger impact.
Historypin has made a relatively very low budget pilot project punch way above its weight (and resources). Some old-school cultural institutions are amazed at the traffic that a small outreach project managed to achieve.
