Going live this week is our latest project, Putting Art on the Map, a partnership with Imperial War Museums and University of Edinburgh and supported by NESTA, the AHRC and Arts Council England as part of the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts.
Imperial War Museums are sharing hundreds of First World War artworks on Historypin for you to explore, curate and enrich. The collection is hugely diverse, covering all aspects of the First World War conflict from Britain to Mesopotamia.
Over the coming months we will be rolling out tools to enable people to geo-locate the artworks and create a collaborative map of First World War art.
As well as mapping the collection, we’ll be running a series of live events, in person and online, to bring people together to solve mysteries within the collection.
